everyone. So we have to plan well ahead our travel time in order to spend
economically. Here are a few hints to save money while traveling.
1 KNOW ABOUT YOUT HOTEL
Before booking the rooms we should have a thorough study about the hotel
we are going to stay. The facility given in the room and tariff and the
facilities available in the hotel like swimming pool, internet centre,
gym etc; and how much they charge for each of them .We have to decide
what facilities we want to avail and whether it is feasible for us.
2 COMBINE VACATION WITH BUSINESS
If we have some business to do outstation we can combine both vacation
and business and claim the hotel, ticket and food expenses during taxation
3 COOKING BY YOURSELF
We can take some ready cooked meals and heat it up in the microwave given
in the hotel and reduce the cost of food. If we book a hotel where they
give complimentary breakfast then one meal expense can be saved.
4 CHOICES OF HOLIDAY SPOT
We can choose a less expensive place for vacation, like beach, hill tops,
bird watch in jungles, or visiting relatives, so that the cost of our
trip will be reduced since there is not much to spend in these places
except to enjoy the nature. Mother Nature has given us many things in
this world to admire.
5CARRYING FOOD WITH YOU
We can carry some precooked snacks for the kids and ourselves to eat while
traveling and in between meals so that money can be saved in buying food
outside, usually they are costly outside.
6CHOICE OF TIME FOR TRAVELLING
Choose a time when the plane train fares are at it lowest, off peak season,
if time is not a criteria for you some times they give special deals in
tickets which will reduce the cost of traveling by nearly half.
7USING OF CREDIT CARDS
Use credit cards whenever possible instead of carrying cash or Traveler’s
checks , which are quiet expensive By paying by credit cards you can get
15 days time to pay back the money
8 STAYING IN HOSTELS
You can choose a cheap place to stay like if you are traveling with 5
or 6 members you can stay together in a hostel like place which will be
cheaper .
9 REDUCE TRANSPORTATION COST
You can reduce transportation cost by walking wherever you want to go
rather than taking taxi or public transport, you will get good exercise
and at the same time save money
10 THINK AHEAD
Plan your trip and choose a place which fits your budget and cut the expenses |
